# Install WingTask on iOS and Android

## Overview

WingTask is a Progressive Web Application (PWA). This means it can be
installed on your phone or tablet and opened like a native app, without
going through an app store.

## What Is a Progressive Web Application?

A Progressive Web Application is a website that a browser can install
directly onto your device. Once installed, it appears on your home
screen and opens in its own window, without browser navigation bars.

PWAs work on most modern mobile browsers. No app store is required.

2. Tap the **Share** button (the box with an arrow pointing up) at the

4. Optionally edit the name, then tap **Add**.

WingTask will appear on your home screen. Tap it to open WingTask in

## Notes

- WingTask as a PWA provides an app-like experience. All features
are the same as using WingTask in a browser.
- Native iOS and Android apps are planned for a future release.
