I noticed WingTask was showing every date in US format, month first, no matter where you are. That meant a task due 8 October showed as `10/8/2026`, which most of the world reads as 10 August.

Dates now follow your region. WingTask reads the language and region your browser already sends with every request (the `Accept-Language` header) and formats dates the way they’re written there:

| Browser set to | 8 October 2026 shows as |
| --- | --- |
| English (United States) | 10/8/2026 |
| English (United Kingdom) | 08/10/2026 |
| Português (Brasil) | 08/10/2026 |
| Deutsch (Deutschland) | 8.10.2026 |

**What you get:**

- Due, scheduled, wait, until, start, end and created dates on the task list and task details all use your region’s order.
- Dates always use the Western (Gregorian) calendar and 0–9 digits, so the year and numbers stay the same as in Taskwarrior.
- The rest of WingTask stays in English. Only the dates change.

**If your dates still look wrong:** check your browser’s preferred language. WingTask uses the first language in that list. A browser set to plain “English” with no region gets US format, so choose “English (United Kingdom)”, “English (Australia)” or whichever matches you.

Times are unchanged and still follow the 12/24-hour setting under **Settings \> Preferences**.
