# UDA items can't be created

**What happened or what brings you here?**

I tried to add UDA items to my configuration but the interface tells me there is a problem when I try to add.

**Steps to reproduce**

1. select type

2. enter label

3. enter a name

4. select create

**Expected behavior**

_What did you expect to happen?_

UDA be added to my configuration.

**Actual behavior**

A error is returned

_What happened instead_

**Environment**

Browser: _Chrome_

Operating System: _chromeos_

Device: chromebook

Hi @timcase ,

Thanks for the fix. I can now create the UDA’s.  
There is only one small issue: when using a dark theme I can’t see the selected type. Switching to a light theme fixes the issue.

Hi @wimpunk,

There’s probably a lot of shortcomings with the dark theme, I haven’t yet launched support for it, however looking at it today I see it’s not that far off so I will try to get that out soon.

Can you tell me specifically where this occurs for a UDA:

> when using a dark theme I can’t see the selected type.

Is that on the form for UDA, when viewing UDAs in a list or when viewing the UDA as part of a task?
