New: Bulk edit tasks in a list

You can now change many tasks at once. Open a task list (your pending
tasks, a project, a tag or a saved list), click the ⋯ button beside
its title and choose Bulk edit. Each task gets a checkbox; pick the
ones you want, then choose what to do with them.

What you get:

  • Mark the selected tasks done or undone, delete them, or restore
    deleted ones.
  • Edit opens a side panel where you can set the project, add or
remove tags, change the priority, set or clear the scheduled, due,
wait and until dates, and set UDAs. Only the fields you open are
changed; everything else on each task stays as it was.
  • Click a task to select it, Shift-click to select a range, or use
Select all. When a list has more tasks than are loaded, you can
select every task that matches, not just the ones on screen.

Every bulk change can be undone:

A bulk change is saved as one change, however many tasks it touched,
so one undo reverses all of it. After each change a panel above the
list shows what happened, with an Undo button. Because of that,
there is no “are you sure?” step to click through. Bulk changes also
appear in Undo History, listed by task count.

What to know:

  • One bulk change can touch up to 500 tasks.
  • Bulk edits set dates only, not times. A date you change loses any
    time it had.
  • Bulk changes sync to Taskwarrior like any other change.
