My name is Tim Case I’m an American and Thai developer who has spent most of my career working on Ruby and Ruby on Rails apps. I was born in Japan (though I’m not Japanese), and I lived for 10 years in Brazil (Florianópolis). The past 11 years I’ve spent living mostly in Bangkok (Thonglor and Ekamai). I speak casual to fluent Brazilian Portuguese and Thai at a restaurant and taxi level. I grew up in Southern California and these days split my year between Los Angeles and Bangkok.
A few years ago I had a crisis when I realized that of all the software and apps I worked on professionally, I never actually used any of them. I felt something important was lost if I didn’t actually use any of the apps I was creating. I was on the road to building my own todo app (because what programmer doesn’t?) when I came across Taskwarrior and realized it solved the todo problem better than I was. At that point I resolved to work on a mobile and web interface to Taskwarrior in addition to providing a sync server.
