Install WingTask on iOS and Android

Overview

WingTask is a Progressive Web Application (PWA). This means it can be
installed on your phone or tablet and opened like a native app, without
going through an app store.

What Is a Progressive Web Application?

A Progressive Web Application is a website that a browser can install
directly onto your device. Once installed, it appears on your home
screen and opens in its own window, without browser navigation bars.

PWAs work on most modern mobile browsers. No app store is required.

Installing on iOS

  1. Open WingTask in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up) at the
    bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Optionally edit the name, then tap Add.

WingTask will appear on your home screen. Tap it to open WingTask in
its own window.

Safari is required on iOS. Installing from Chrome or Firefox on iOS
is not supported.

Installing on Android

  1. Open WingTask in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm by tapping Add.

WingTask will appear on your home screen and in your app drawer.

Notes

  • WingTask as a PWA provides an app-like experience. All features
    are the same as using WingTask in a browser.
  • Native iOS and Android apps are planned for a future release.
